What is Butterfly Ridge like?

Perched on its own ridge in the forest, Butterfly Ridge has an elevated setting that gives it some of the best canopy views on the property. The raised position means the back deck looks out over the treetops rather than into them, and on clear mornings the forest stretches out below like a green sea. Inside, the open floor plan is finished in white shiplap and warm wood, with a vaulted ceiling that keeps the space feeling generous. The cedar double-sided wood-burning fireplace sits between the living area and the bedroom, visible from both the gray sofa and the queen memory foam bed with its tufted headboard. The hanging egg chair is draped with a greenery garland and tucked near a window, catching the afternoon light. Framed nature prints, a wooden feather wall piece, and small plants on floating shelves give the space a curated but relaxed feel. The kitchenette has white cabinets, a black countertop, burner plates, a microwave, a full-size fridge, and a coffee maker, plus open shelving with glassware. The bathroom has a granite vanity, oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead. The covered front porch has a black rocking chair and ceiling fan, and the back deck holds the private hot tub and a bistro table. A charcoal grill and fire pit sit in the yard below. Butterfly Ridge is ideal for couples who want a modern retreat with a sense of elevation and panoramic forest views. Pets are welcome, and the flat rate covers all your pets for the entire stay.

Butterfly Ridge is a modern dark-sided cabin with its wooden name sign fixed to a tall tree near the front entry. The lot is a gravel clearing framed by mature hardwoods, and the covered back deck sits at treeline level with a green screen of leaves looking straight into the forest in summer.

House rules.

• Check-in: After 4:00 PM EST. Early check-in at 2:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Check-out: Before 10:00 AM EST. Late checkout at 12:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Pets: Welcome. $50 flat rate covers all pets for the stay. No weight or breed restrictions. $150 fine for pet damage.
• Smoking: Not allowed indoors. $250 fine for indoor smoking.
• Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM.
• Parties or events: Not permitted.

Accessibility.

• Getting in: Several steps up to the entry door, no ramp. Ask us for the exact number before booking.
• Bathroom: Walk-in shower. No roll-in shower and no grab bars.
• Layout: Single storey, no interior stairs between floors. Gravel driveway and parking pad.

Cancellation policy.

• Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in. Full refund.
• Cancellations within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable, but dates may be moved subject to availability.
• For weather-related cancellations or emergencies, please reach out. We work with guests case-by-case.
• Booked through Airbnb, Vrbo or another travel site? Those bookings follow that platform's own cancellation policy. Booking direct with us gives you the most flexible terms.
