What is Eagles Nest like?

Eagles Nest is a handcrafted log cabin with a Colonial American spirit. The exposed timber construction and warm wood interiors set the stage for a stay that feels both rugged and refined. Inside, an open living area features a vaulted wood ceiling, a classic wood-surround fireplace with eagle decor on the mantel, and a comfortable sofa with an American flag blanket. The full kitchen has white cabinets, a farmhouse sink, butcher block countertops, and all the appliances you need to cook from scratch. A dining table sits nearby for meals with a view of the living room. The bedroom sits behind French doors off the living area, with a queen bed dressed in a patriotic quilt, an iron bed frame, and a window that looks out across the forest. A separate bathroom has a curved glass shower enclosure and a pedestal sink, and the cabin also has an indoor jacuzzi tub for a soak after a day on the trails. The covered wooden deck out back holds the private hot tub surrounded by trees, with nothing but forest in sight. A fire pit and charcoal grill sit in the yard for evening cookouts under the canopy. Eagles Nest appeals to couples who appreciate traditional craftsmanship and the feel of a real log cabin, not a modern imitation. Pets are welcome, and the flat rate covers all your pets for the entire stay. It is the kind of place where history meets the hills.

Eagles Nest is a true chinked log cabin set among tall hardwoods that turn vivid yellow and orange each fall. The covered deck and American flag face directly into the tree line. The stone fire pit sits in a clearing just off the cabin, with metal chairs around it and a thick layer of fallen leaves on the ground most of the year.

House rules.

• Check-in: After 4:00 PM EST. Early check-in at 2:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Check-out: Before 10:00 AM EST. Late checkout at 12:00 PM available for $50, subject to availability.
• Pets: Welcome. $50 flat rate covers all pets for the stay. No weight or breed restrictions. $150 fine for pet damage.
• Smoking: Not allowed indoors. $250 fine for indoor smoking.
• Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM.
• Parties or events: Not permitted.

Accessibility.

• Getting in: Several steps up to the entry door, no ramp. Ask us for the exact number before booking.
• Bathroom: Walk-in shower. No roll-in shower and no grab bars.
• Layout: Single storey, no interior stairs between floors. Gravel driveway and parking pad.

Cancellation policy.

• Free cancellation up to 7 days before check-in. Full refund.
• Cancellations within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable, but dates may be moved subject to availability.
• For weather-related cancellations or emergencies, please reach out. We work with guests case-by-case.
• Booked through Airbnb, Vrbo or another travel site? Those bookings follow that platform's own cancellation policy. Booking direct with us gives you the most flexible terms.
